Basic Responsibilities:

Servesas a strategic business partner in driving the key LB businesscategories and achieving financial objectives through crossfunctional leaders and their respective teams. The HR functionrequires a leader to partner with VP of function to secure executionof the business strategies and ensure exceptional service delivery.The intent is laser focus on talent and capabilities to ensure the LBbusiness success.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Talent Management
  • Laser focus is required on securing thebest talent through creative networking and data mining. Marketing the strong Lane Bryant strategic plans and story tosecure interest among top talent in the industry. Creating a pipelinefor critical roles.
  • Trusted coach and partner throughout theorganization. Anticipates needs of those we support. Candid withcritical feedback and perspective to ensure leadershipsuccess. 
  • StrategicExecution
  • True understanding of retail, understandsthe business strategies and interprets the talent tactics required tosupport those strategies.
  • Architect simple education and learningtactics for the agreed upon retail capabilities required to win atLB.
  • Maximize communications formal andinformal with marketing partnership to ensure external and internalcommunications compliment each other and are simple to understand.
  •  Lead with organizational developmentrecommendations to assure highest level of associateengagement.  Secure our highly desired culture andseek understanding and take action to create the ideal culturedriving business success. Examines team effectiveness, work processesand organizational structures and recommends ideas forimprovement.
  • HR Leadership
  • HR leadership within the function: thisleader will be key partner to the HR function head and ensureexecution of running the business with the HR team. Acts as a business partner with CSI stakeholders to gainalignment and be a 'go to' contact in the absence of or onbehalf of HR function head. Lead on key business issues,organizational structure, work design, compensation, benefits,staffing, training, and employee relation issues.
  • Ensures all price of admission HRservices are perceived by all as a Service Excellence quality ofdelivery.
  • Associate Engagement and Culture Impact
  • Constantly identifying and developingstrategies to ensure satisfaction among those associates we retain.This includes quarterly idea generation, execution and involvement ofthe associates in the execution.  Measures successand markets value and purpose to organization with alllaunches.
  • Maintains an up-to-date knowledge ofindustry and HR trends, standards and “best practices.”

Job Requirements

  • 10-15 years of experience in HRpositions, with 5-8 years of retail industry experience andknowledge, has a passion for talent and retail
  • Demonstrated expertise in talentacquisition, coaching and teaming
  • Ability to take on great capacity,prioritize, focus and execute
  • Unconsciously competent in building truebusiness partnerships and possesses a natural mindset of servingothers
  • Demonstrated success in leading HRteams
  • Highly effective in influencing andnegotiations, positive and “solve for”
  • Applies situational leadership toappropriate stakeholders and business conditions
  • Capable of taking concepts/project andself creating presentations, frameworks and usingtemplates
