Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW:Manages assigned District Managers and reporting Store Managers. Responsible for driving execution at the district and store level as well as communicating company directives utilizing the one vision, one voice, one message strategy.RESPONSIBILITIES:Company Program Execution
  • Ensures compliance to Ross policies and procedures at all times.
  • Communicates the one vision, one voice, one message strategy for all company directives.
  • Ensures proper and complete execution on all company directives.
  • Majority of time spent in stores ensuring an impactful company footprint.
  • Demonstrates strong initiative in strategically executing company directives.
Customer Service
  • Ensures that customer service standards are consistently executed in all stores.
STAR Visits
  • Evaluates most current Store Ops, LP and HR STAR Visit results on every store visit. (Note, ZD does not conduct or score Visits personally.)
  • Reconciles Visit results with current condition of store.
  • Responsible for managing DM, LP and HR Visit process at each store. Ensures accurate scoring from all groups.
Merchandise Presentation and In-store Marketing
  • Ensure merchandise is presented and organized utilizing Ross Merchandising Philosophy and Guidelines.
  • Validates and corrects to monthly ISM in every store on each visit.
Store/District Measurables
  • Ensures that all reporting districts/stores are meeting current company standards and goals.
  • Identifies, fixes and trains to any missed goals on every store visit.
Store Appearance
  • Demonstrates pride and excellence in the appearance of all stores.
  • Implements recovery standards, which result in a clean, neat, safe and easy to shop environment.
  • Maintains a high standard of house keeping, safety and organization.
Expense Control
  • Controls payroll hours to plan, as the primary controllable expense, as well as adjusting to current business trends. (Note, this is the only ZD administrative duty.)

Job Requirements

  • At least 3-5 years multi unit, Ross preferred retail experience.
  • The ability to execute excellence to company standards at all times.
  • A solid understanding of best practices in the retail industry.
  • Uses mentoring, coaching and communication skills to develop Associates who execute company directives.
  • Background includes successful achievements with regard to service, sales, shrink, safety, human resources and merchandising.
  • Has demonstrated the ability to execute a financial plan.
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
